"knitting life" (2009) by Laura GuildA

consists of 13 knitted pieces made of materials of our “everyday life".

Essentially, it involves using materials other than wool, such as Halloween paper streamers, bandaging, video and audio cassette tapes, wire, strips cut from a plastic bag and ribbons.

These materials were given a new life. by creating little knitted pieces which were then mounted on clothes hangers.

These constructions which were fixed on transparent yarn were hang up from the ceiling and like a big mobile they moved and turned lightly in the air.

This work was presented in the context of the “Anzitempo” group exhibition in a big warehouse space during Art Basel Miami.
